How Ventio’s founder made an impact on the world with LOC

Categories : By Basel Ashraf | Published on September 21, 2023 How Ventio’s founder made an impact on the world with LOC

Ventio’s founder and CEO along with Ventio’s Co-founders left their fingerprints on the world of cabling infrastructure. They were key assets for the project Lable On Cable (LOC) which is the reason why Keltech IoT won the Construction Award at IoT Impact Conference in Sydney.

Keltech IoT won the Construction Award at IoT Impact Conference in Sydney.

In this post, we’ll show you how we made a minimum viable product (MVP). How we polished and delivered the end product, how to make a way to test your assumptions, confirm your ideas, and get feedback.

How we made the move from MVP to launch and how we had a great launch that brought in more customers, made money, and created a loyal fan base.

We worked with Keltech IoE to make LOC, and our founder put together a team that could come up with a system that could change the way infrastructure cabling works.

Our founder and his team spent 18 months putting together a team that could come up with an innovative solution that could change the way cabling infrastructure works, fit the market, and provide the best solution for asset management. The first challenge was to figure out what our users really wanted and how to help Keltech IoE build a successful, long-lasting business model.

As Keltech had tried to get a LOC with many other partners before us and failed, it was hard for them to say that they trusted the answer would work for the market and be easy for users to use.

Our journey of developing LOC consisted of:

    LOC componenets
    1. Define requirements and gather data

At this time, we wanted to do a lot of research after listening to keltech talk about the pain and how they think the solution will help. After that, we talked to some potential customers with the help of keltech staff. This helped us figure out who the target customer was and make a clear map for the app like user persona, service blueprint, consumer journey map, ecosystem map, competitive audit, scenarios, etc.

Ensuring we have everything we need to start development right away for our clients’ business needs.

    1. Create and validate UI/UX

There are four main steps in the UX design process: user study, design, testing, and implementation. Even though this is usually how the UX design process goes, it’s important to remember that UX is always an iterative process.”Design is never finished!” is a common saying. This is because, as you go through the UX design process, you’ll learn new things that might make you rethink your choices so far. As expected, you’ll have to go back and do some steps over again in the UX design process as you keep optimizing and improving your designs.

Within each of these main stages of the UX design process, there are a number of steps you’ll take to improve a product, app, service, or website’s user experience. We’ll talk about each of these in more depth before getting into how the user’s goals and the business’s goals match up.

As part of the NDA, we were able to have a great planning session with keltech staff, using techniques and tools like Card Sorting, remote Usability Testing, Mood boards, Storyboards, User Flow, Task Analysis, and Sitemap. Diagrams of how things work Test versions Sprints in Design.

    Technologies used

A well-defined technical software architecture plan makes it possible to use new technology and custom software solutions in a way that is safe, reliable, and saves money. Choosing the right software design is one of the most important parts of making software. It affects your software system’s quality, speed, ability to grow, ease of maintenance, and safety.

LOC makes it easy to manage your cable infrastructure with cutting-edge technologies like SQL, NodeJS, React Native, Flutter, Linux, Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS), and NFC.

    Agility

Since the market is always changing, we needed our team to be agile and able to work in short development processes so that we can get to market faster. Agile teams are especially useful in the technology field because they are more creative, flexible, and quick to respond to situations that change quickly. Agile teams can deliver tested, working software in two- to four-week iterations by using methods made to make frequent, high-quality, and long-lasting updates.

    Feedback and Enhancements

    Feedback and Enhancements

Getting customer feedback is important for startups because it helps them test their product ideas and make sure they are making something that people want. What people say. A good management method can help cut costs and attract more investors. Lastly, customer feedback management (CFM) can boost satisfaction by showing employees that the company is always improving. We’re very interested in doing an iterative process that helped us a lot to see and hear from our end user and get to a market fit after 18 months.

And we successfully managed to do that and claim our positive feedback about it.

As it’s mentioned in Maintenance and Engineering Magazine  “KelTech Doe Launches ‘LOC’, a revolutionary asset identification and management platform for telecoms, utilities and construction industries”“An 18 month journey to develop and launch our revolutionary Asset Identification & Management platform. A solution with immediate and measurable benefits to Telco, Utility and Construction sectors. Thanks to Maintenance & Engineering Magazine for featuring our launch.” -said Mark Kellett, CEO of KelTech IoE. Continuing with “LOC offers a far more cost-effective and efficient solution compared to traditional labelling techniques.

The benefits include; ease and accuracy in identification of assets and their location; faster fault resolution and deployment scheduling; enhanced security and data privacy.”

More on why LOC is a huge impact on the world of cabling infrastructure

why LOC is a huge impact on the world of cabling infrastructure

The ultimate asset management software platform designed to revolutionize the way organizations track and manage their cabling infrastructure. With LOC, you can say goodbye to manual tracking, costly errors, and wasted time.

Efficiency and cost-effectiveness are at the core of LOC’s features and benefits. The user-friendly interface allows you to effortlessly track and audit your cabling infrastructure, saving you valuable time and resources and easily manage your assets from anywhere in the field.

LOC offers multiple labeling options to suit your specific needs. Whether it’s cable type, location, or any other criteria, every scenario has been thought of.

    Features and Benefits of LOC

    Features and Benefits of LOC
    • Track and audit the physical cabling system in a way that is “user-friendly” and saves time.
    • The app is designed to be easy to use in the field.
    • There are different labelling choices for different situations.
    • Accurately figure out how much it costs to deploy and maintain assets
    • User jobs with limited access for per-cable assignments
    • All changes to physical-layer links can be tracked in “real time.”
    • Send out messages for any changes that weren’t planned or weren’t allowed.
    • It’s easier to handle network maintenance and upgrades

    How will LOC help you?

LOC uses the latest NFC technology, a cloud-based software application, and mobile apps

LOC is a digital asset identification and management software platform that uses the latest NFC technology, a cloud-based software application, and mobile apps to get rid of the need for standard plastic labels. This is a safe, inexpensive way for a business to keep track of all its assets. It is used by a number of big brands in Australia.

LOC has many advantages over traditional plastic labels. Labeling can be done faster, more accurately, and for less money with LOC. It can geotag assets and display that data, which is a first in the industry. This gives a real-time map-based view of the infrastructure that has been set up.

Companies like BAI, as well as schools and hotels around the world, have already started using the LOC tool. It is perfect for telecoms and utilities, where asset identification is very important, but it can also be used for any other type of real asset.

“LOC is a much more efficient and cost-effective way to label things than standard methods.  The benefits include making it easy and accurate to find assets and figure out where they are, fixing problems and planning deployments more quickly, and making security and data privacy better.

    Why use LOC?

    Why use LOC?

Traditional labelling is prone to mistakes and makes it hard to track and verify the accuracy on infrastructure rollout.

Labelling correctly takes a lot of time and resources and existing labels have a limited number of characters that can be used to identify things like cables, enclosures, ODFs, etc. However, LOC makes sure that labels will last and the data is safe and is encrypted.

It also makes it easier to avoid the problems of not being able to see deployed infrastructure live in real-time and sending field engineers who might give the wrong readings.

Declaration: All LOC features and information mentioned above are only disclosure to the public according to information shared by LOC itself and there are no NDA conflicts. All LOC IP intellectual property rights are reserved by KelTech IoE.
